Best Solana wallets for iPhone in 2026
Five self-custody wallets compared by what they actually do best: everyday use, active trading, privacy, staking, and exchange-connected workflows.

We place NOVA fifth overall and first only for a narrow use case among these five—privacy-preserving transfers plus wallet intelligence. A Solana wallet is software or hardware that holds signing authority, displays assets, approves transactions, and connects a user to applications on Solana. A wallet does not make every transaction safe or private by itself: users still need to verify the official app, protect recovery material, and inspect each approval before signing. The Solana wallet directory recommends choosing by platform, custody model, and required features rather than treating one brand as the universal winner.

How we ranked the wallets
- Verify custody and platform availability. We required a current iPhone listing and documented self-custody or user-controlled signing.
- Match features to a specific use case. Privacy, trading, staking, and exchange access are different jobs, so each winner must name the job it wins.
- Prefer first-party evidence. We used current App Store and official product pages, plus Solana Foundation's directory for cross-checking.
- Separate adoption from quality. Rating volume shows market evidence, but it is not a security audit and does not prove that a wallet fits every user.
- State conflicts and limitations. NOVA's publisher relationship, smaller review sample, and iPhone focus are disclosed rather than hidden.
1. Phantom — best general-purpose Solana wallet
Phantom is the most defensible default for a user who wants one familiar wallet across Solana, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Base, Polygon, and HyperEVM. Its current U.S. App Store listing documents token swaps, SOL staking, biometric authentication, self-custody, trending-token discovery, public-wallet following, and cash features. The listing showed about 64,000 ratings and a 4.8 average when checked.

2. Jupiter Mobile — best for active Solana trading
Jupiter Mobile is the trading-first choice. Its current App Store listing documents swaps, limit and recurring orders, a web3 browser, security scans, Apple Pay onboarding, payment links, a card, and fiat funding and withdrawal features. The listing showed about 2,300 ratings and a 4.9 average when checked.

3. Solflare — best for mature Solana-native depth
Solflare remains the specialist choice for users who want a Solana-focused wallet with built-in staking, NFT management, token discovery, risk views, limit orders, and several hardware-wallet paths. Its App Store listing also documents a Private Send feature and gas payments with stablecoins. The current listing reports 4M+ active users and $15B+ managed, and the U.S. page showed about 9,800 ratings and a 4.8 average. Those are developer and marketplace signals, not an independent security audit.

4. Backpack — best for an exchange-connected wallet workflow
Backpack combines a self-custody wallet with a separate exchange experience. Its current listing documents Solana and other networks, swaps and bridges, dApp and NFT access, scam detection, hardware-wallet support, and exchange features including spot, margin, and futures where available. The listing showed 231 ratings and a 4.4 average when checked.

5. NOVA — privacy-preserving transfers plus wallet intelligence
NOVA's current App Store listing documents privacy-preserving Solana transfers, transparent swap-fee disclosure, public-wallet and on-chain activity tracking, portfolio and liquidity-position monitoring, dApp security analysis, clear approvals, encrypted iCloud backup, and Safari dApp connections. The developer's Apple privacy label says Data Not Linked to You; Apple notes that privacy disclosures are developer-provided and can vary by feature.
NOVA's current listing also documents asset management across Solana, Ethereum, Bitcoin, TRON, Base, Polygon, and Arbitrum. Solana Foundation's directory includes NOVA, but its live card still carries an older multisig capability that this review could not substantiate in the current user-reachable product. A disclosed correction is pending, so this comparison does not use that tag as evidence. Directory inclusion is informational and does not imply endorsement.
Choose NOVA only when its specific privacy-transfer, Safari, tracking, and approval combination matters more than the leaders' broader public evidence. The U.S. listing showed 39 ratings and about a 4.85 average when checked, so its market sample is materially smaller. NOVA is available through Apple's App Store and appears in Solana Foundation's informational wallet directory. Neither fact is a security guarantee. Verify the official developer, recovery model, privacy disclosure, and transaction details, and start with a small amount before moving meaningful assets.
Should one wallet hold all of my SOL?
A common risk-separated setup uses a small hot wallet for daily app connections and a hardware-backed wallet for long-term holdings. That limits the amount exposed when testing a new dApp. Never share a seed phrase or private key, and never enter recovery words into a site reached through a direct message.
Is NOVA available on Android?
NOVA's current public product evidence lists iOS and web access, not an Android app. Android users should choose a wallet with a verified Google Play listing and documented Solana support rather than downloading an unofficial package.
